This is my Chiropractic Story:

I was a sophomore in High School and a part of the wrestling team. Very early into the season, I injured my left elbow. The pain was so intense that I was not able to clinch my fist, pick up heavy objects, nor could I pull myself up from a sitting position and I could no longer wrestle. After a week or two of rest, my parents took me to our family pediatrician to get it checked out. After his examination, the doctor turned to me and said in a very unemotional, cold tone “I’m sorry Alan; your arm is always going to be this way”.  All he offered me was a hot pack and some medication.  I left the office discouraged and hopeless because I was left having to figure out how I was going to live with this disability at the age of 16.

Some time later, I attended a career day at my high school and saw a table for Chiropractic.  I called one of the doctor’s up with the intention to find out about Chiropractic as a career.  Once the doctor learned of my injury, he began to educate me about chiropractic and the healing power of the body.  We ended up doing an examination, took some x-rays of the spine and found the problem.  Part of my nervous system was being interfered with in the neck area and that was causing the weakness and pain in my elbow.  After a few months of care, I had 100% function in my arm.  I was so blown away that I decided to become a Doctor of Chiropractic myself and it was the best decision I ever made!

I graduated from Southern California College of Chiropractic in 1995, licensed in 1996 by the Chiropractic State Board and National Board of California and I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Human biology.  I am a member of the World’s Children Wellness Foundation, the Dead Chiropractic Society, 100 Year Lifestyle Affiliate Office, Board Member of the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce and a certified speaker for The Wellness Champions.  I thrive on bringing my patients the best techniques and methods that are available today through ongoing continuing education and studies.

As a doctor here in Orange County for 15 years, I have been taking care of people for injuries just like I had and more: headaches, migraines, chronic pain, neck pain, shoulder or arm pain, whiplash from car accidents, carpal tunnel syndrome, backaches, ear infections, asthma, allergies, numbness in limbs, to athletic injuries, and more.

The body has an incredible ability to heal.  Aches, pains and symptoms are indicators that the nerve system is having difficulty doing its job of running the body.  I am privileged enough to see miracles every day; once the interference is removed, the body heals and health is restored.

You and I cannot do a thing for our health history, only our health future.  The decisions that you make today is creating your health for tomorrow.  Let us help you find the way to a healthier future.
