Our Health and the Holidays
Posted on 2010-11-17 14:49:33
The Holidays are fast approaching so I wanted to send out a note about a
very special program we have called “How to Stay Healthy for the
Holidays”
The fact is that this is one of the most stressful and
unhealthiest times of the year. We put our bodies through so much its
no wonder there is a 33% increase in heart related problems in December
and January. So, I thought I would to try and do something about it.
Why
does this happen you ask? Let me paint the picture for you: During
his time of the year we consume more fatty foods, more sugar, more
alcohol, our schedules are filled with parties, shopping, wrapping
presents, we get less sleep, the roads are busier, shopping, rude
people, stress out over how much money we have spent or reminded about the little we have to spend this year, we miss
family that may have passed away or live too far away to spend the
holidays together, we can get depressed and suicides increase during
this time, most will stop exercising and reduce visits to the
chiropractor……….I think you get the point!
More stress = more Subluxations = more aches, pains and less health. Get adjusted!
My
purpose this year is to have a huge impact in the health and wellness
of all of my practice members, their families as well as to help the
community get and stay as healthy as possible. So check out the flyer
about the workshop and tell everyone you know about it, it will change
their lives!
Yours in health,
Dr. Koehler
P.S. See the flier for more details of the program and call the office if you have any questions.

“School’s Back, Get Your Kids “Back” on Track”
PRESS RELEASE GARDEN GROVE, CA:
During the month of August, hundreds of family practice chiropractors nationwide will be performing screenings and evaluations for elementary, middle and high school students to benefit their school teams, marching band and other organizations.
“Backpacks, musical instruments and sports can cause damage and trauma to the developing spine” says Dr. Koehler. Every year children make 775,000 visits to the Emergency Room because of sports-related injuries. “MRI technology indicates nearly 10% of children show signs of disc degeneration before reaching puberty. That is why we are committed to teaching the children of North Orange County how to take care of their spine, so they can excel in their activities and not suffer the damaging effects these activities can cause in their developing spines”, said Dr. Koehler.
“The way we take care of our bodies as children and young adults can have a lasting effect on our health. These screenings help our children maximize their performance, reduce the chance of stress and spinal injury, and help our school’s extra-curricular clubs fundraising goals.” he said.
Spinal exams for all students wishing to participate in sports and/or marching band will be performed at City View Chiropractic located at 12361 Lewis St. suite 102 Garden Grove, CA 92840 714-703-9600 through August 31st for only $17.
Call 714-703-9600 to reserve your child's Spinal exam today!
